In the first half of the opening quarter, UMMC decided to use long-range shots, with Papova, Bentley, Maiga, and Levchenko as the key players. The three-point shots paid off well, and with 2 minutes left in the first period, the Yekaterinburg team led by 14 points. The home team tried to get back in the game through the active plays of Ashley Beverly and a three-pointer by Viktoriia Medvedeva, but it didn’t significantly impact the score. UMMC took a 28-42 lead into halftime.

The third quarter brought an unexpected comeback for the spectators. The players of Evgeni Ivanov steadily cut the deficit until they tied the score. In the seventh minute, the home team even managed to take the lead, but Kseniia Levchenko and Megan Walker quickly corrected the situation, scoring 7 points. Heading into the final quarter, the score was 57-59 in favor of UMMC.

Everything was decided in the fourth period. It took the “Foxes” less than two minutes to regain their advantage. Despite some challenges, the UMMC players finished with a 69-78 victory.
