On October 23, two Russian women’s basketball clubs — UMMC and Nika-Luzales (Syktyvkar) — faced off in the battle for the SuperCup. In the game held in the capital of Komi, the “Foxes” claimed victory once again, winning the trophy for the fourth consecutive time.

The second half of the game was also closely contested. Thanks to the persistence of the Ural sharpshooters Maryia Papova and Kseniia Levchenko, the third quarter ended in victory for the team of Dmitrii Donskov, with the score at 48:51. In the final period, UMMC played confidently and achieved a solid lead of 10 points. Despite the competition put up by the “Lynxes”, the final score on the scoreboard showed 69:73 in favor of the “Foxes”. Thus, UMMC became the 2024 Russian SuperCup champion, and the trophy will once again head to Yekaterinburg for the fourth time.
In the squad of UMMC, the top scorer was Olairi Kosu, who recorded a double-double with 14 points and 10 rebounds, earning the 2024 SuperCup MVP title. Kseniia Levchenko and Alex Bentley each had 13 points, with 5 and 2 rebounds, respectively. Maryia Papova contributed 10 points.
In the squad of Nika, Qadashah Hoppie had 17 points and 2 rebounds. Anastasia Logunova scored 11 points and grabbed 4 rebounds, while Sevara Nuritdinova added 10 points and 2 rebounds.
