BC UMMC played the final game in the preseason President's Cup of the Samara Region Basketball Federation. The Yekaterinburg team triumphed over Samara and claimed the cup.

The opponents opened the scoring, and for a while, the game was even. However, the home team quickly pulled ahead, establishing a solid lead of more than 10 points, and the first quarter ended with a score of 22:16 in favor of Samara.
Conclusions were drawn quickly. In the second quarter, the reigning national champions erased the deficit, and after 10 minutes of play, albeit with a small margin, they were leading – 32:37.
After the halftime break, the team of Dmitrii Donskov did not ease up and continued to extend their lead, adding another 11 points, the score was 48:64. In the final quarter, the Yekaterinburg team did not allow their opponents to compete, winning this period as well. The final score turned out to be another landslide victory – 60:87. Thus, the “Foxes” brought the President's Cup of the Samara Region Basketball Federation to Yekaterinburg. The best player of the tournament from UMMC was Olairi Kosu.

- Maybe at the beginning we didn’t warm up well enough and weren’t fully tuned in, but then we found our rhythm and mindset — and achieved the result. For this tournament, our goals were to develop team chemistry and establish our mindset for the entire season. And, of course, to win. This is the preseason, and the tasks are always the same: improve our teamwork, shots, and offensive strategies. I believe we prepared well; there’s still a week left before the start of the regular championship. I’d like to congratulate our team on the first trophy. We did a good job!
In the squad of the “Foxes”, Jovana Nogic became the highest-scoring player with 15 points, 4 assists. Zhosselina Maiga added 14 points, 3 rebounds and 1 assist. Olairi Kosu had 13 points, 5 rebounds, 3 assists.
In the squad of Samara, Albina Razheva was the top-scorer with 16 points, 2 rebounds and 2 assists. Ramona Lira Masedu and Daria Kurilchuk each contributed 10 points.
