UMMC Yekaterinburg – Dynamo Novosibirsk 75:62
Quarters’ results: 17:15, 22:18, 17:17, 19:12
The second friendly game also ended in victory for UMMC, although it was competitive. Despite a tie score in the middle of the game, the hosts managed to pull ahead and gain a significant advantage in the second half. It is worthy of note that the newly arrived “rookies” – Jovana Nogic and Eva Lisec – took to the court today. The players showed excellent performance, becoming the leaders in statistics by the end of the game.
Dmitrii Donskov, BC UMMC Head Coach:
- I'm very glad that we were able to hold these games. Many thanks to Dynamo Novosibirsk for responding to our invitation and coming here. Unfortunately, the preparation for the season has been a bit scattered because not all players have arrived at the same time. Before the arrival of Eva Lisec and Jovana Nogic, we involved some juniors, but for various reasons, they couldn't fully participate in the training process. There's no point in judging the results and quality of play right now, as everything is in a preseason context. The athletes have just come together, and there’s currently no game chemistry or mutual understanding. We need to be patient; we will catch up in the near future.
In the squad of UMMC, the newly minted “Fox” Jovana Nogic became the highest-scoring player with 16 points, 1 rebound, and 4 assists. Anastasiia Shilova contributed 15 points and 4 rebounds. Eva Lisec started the game for UMMC with a double-double, scoring 12 points, grabbing 14 rebounds, and making 2 assists. Maria Klyundikova added 12 points, 7 rebounds, and 1 assist.
In the squad of Dynamo, Victoria Korsakova was the scoring leader with 14 points, 6 rebounds, and 7 assists. Anastasiia Badina scored 12 points and had 4 rebounds, while Elizaveta Zaryazhko contributed 10 points, 6 rebounds, and 4 assists.
