Three-time WNBA champion Candace Parker has announced that she is retiring:

"I'm retiring. I promised I'd never cheat the game & that I'd leave it in a better place than I came into it. The competitor in me always wants 1 more, but it's time. My HEART & body knew, but I needed to give my mind time to accept it" – Candace said in a social media post.
American basketball player Candace Parker played for the basketball club UMMC from 2010 to 2015. During her time with the team, she became the Russian champion and won the Russian Cup in 2010, where she was named the MVP of the final. In the 2010/11 season, she won the Russian Cup and became the Russian champion. The 2011/12 season saw a repeat performance: winning the Russian Cup and becoming the Russian champion. She was also the winner of the European Super Cup in 2013.
The 38-year-old basketball player spent the last season with the Las Vegas team, where she won her third WNBA championship title. Previously, she had won with Los Angeles in 2016 and Chicago in 2021. Parker is also a two-time Olympic champion with the US national team. Candace Parker is one of the few female basketball players who can dunk.
