UMMC lose to Dynamo Kursk in Yekaterinburg

On March 27, the “Foxes” played one of the last games in the regular season of the Russian Premier League. At their home arena in Yekaterinburg, the hosts failed to take revenge on Dynamo Kursk.

It is worth noting that the previous meeting between the teams in the framework of the Fonbet Russian Championship took place in Kursk and ended with a victory for the hosts with a score of 83:78.

The third quarter turned out to be equal and ended with a slight advantage for the home team; however, the final part was not without intrigue. From the middle of the quarter, the “white-blues” began to increase their lead. As a result, they brought the score to winning figures 62:71.

-       First of all, the failure came from three-pointers. Apparently, something happened to our sniper skills - we can't convert free throws in a calm atmosphere. I think the main reason for the loss today is that we couldn't handle the aggressive defense of Dynamo. No matter how I tried to get the girls focused, the ending turned out to be chaotic.

In the squad of the “Foxes”, Olairi Kosu reached a double-double with 23 points and 16 rebounds. Zhosselina Maiga added 15 points and 4 rebounds. Alexandria Bentley had 8 points and 1 assist.

In the squad of Dynamo, Promise Amukamara became the top-scorer with 15 points and 6 rebounds. Kayla Thornton accumulated 13 points and 2 rebounds. Anna Burovaya and Elizaveta Shabanova scored 12 points apiece.

UMMC will play the final game in the Fonbet Russian Championship on the road. On March 30, in Moscow, the Yekaterinburg team will face the local MBA. The broadcast starts at 3:30 p.m. (Yekaterinburg time).
