On February 23, on Defender of the Fatherland Day, BC UMMC played a home game of the third round of the regular championship - Premier League against Neftyanik-Titan from Omsk.

It is worth noting that the roster changes occurred in both teams - three athletes from the junior “Foxes” joined the UMMC squad, and the opposing team arrived with nine declared players.
From the first minutes of the encounter, the Ural team took the lead. Accurate shots from behind the arc by Anastasiia Shilova and Alex Bentley secured the first advantage in the score. By the end of the ten-minute period the gap had become twofold – 22:11.
In the second quarter, the home team also controlled the course of events on the court. Anastasiia Shilova continued to score three-pointers effectively, and Sparkle Taylor stood out with accurate mid-range shots. The teams went for the halftime break with a score of 49:25 in favour of the “Foxes”.
A turning point was out of the question in the second half of the game. The hosts systematically increased their advantage. Young players from the UMMC-Junior team also got their playing time. Neftyanik resisted to the best of their abilities, but ultimately suffered a crushing defeat. The final buzzer sealed a confident victory of UMMC – 98:39.

- Today we had a great game on both sides of the court. We did well with both defense and offense. We carried out the game plan that the coach suggested to us. We are happy.
In the squad of UMMC, Alexandria Bentley became the top-scorer with 22 points and 7 assists. Megan Walker had 15 points and 3 rebounds. Olairi Kosu added 13 points and 7 rebounds.
In the squad of Neftyanik-Titan, Ekaterina Golovchenko and Marie Pardee scored 8 points each. Anna Pachurina accumulated 6 points and 7 rebounds.
The “Foxes” will play the next game on the road on February 27, in Novosibirsk. The Yekaterinburg team will face the local Dynamo. The live broadcast starts at 5.00 p.m.
