UMMC defeated «Sparta&K» and celebrated the 20th win in a row in Premier League

UMMC extended its winning streak to 20 matches in PARI Championship of Russia – Premier League as they defeated «Sparta&K» Vidnoje in the away game tonight.

UMMC started the meeting confidently on the court of the Palace of Sports «Vidnoje» and having made a good series of outside shots, they easily reached a double advantage – 24:11 by the middle of the first quarter. However, the host team kept fighting. By the end of the quarter «Sparta&K» made a breakthrough -10:0 and almost caught up with the leader – 24:21, and in the next two quarters they imposed an equal fight. But the efforts of the white-red didn’t result in success. By the last timeout UMMC tipped the balance in their favor - 61:57, and in the fourth quarter they beat the opponent completely – 75:64.

Maria Vadeeva, UMMC center, became the highest-scoring player of the match and logged a double-double of 28 points and 10 rebounds. Anastasia Olairi Kosu (12 points, 8 rebounds) and Viktoriia Zavialova (9 points, 8 assists) were just a step short of a double-double. Anastasiia Shilova added to the team’s score 10 points and Tina Krajisnik scored 5 points and got 8 rebounds.

In the opposing team Ignatova Daria scored 22 points, Pozdnyakova Anna – 11 points.

UMMC will play the next match on January 24 in Ekaterinburg on the main court of DIVS Arena, meeting with «Nika» from Syktyvkar.
