UMMC dominate Neftyanik-Titan in 54-point victory
The reigning champions delivered a commanding performance in a FONBET Russian Premier League matchup, leaving no chance for their opponents and turning the game into a showcase for the home fans. Playing in Verkhnyaya Pyshma, the league leaders cruised to a convincing 97–43 win over Neftyanik-Titan Omsk.
Quarter scores: 22–12, 28–12, 32–9, 15–10.
UMMC set the tone early, opening the game at a high pace and immediately establishing their superiority. Alex Bentley got the hosts on the board with a three-pointer and then added another shot from deep, while Anastasiia Shilova also connected from long range to spark the offense. The Foxes raised the tempo and quickly pulled away - 22–12. The visitors tried to respond with perimeter shooting from Andrea Easley and Bocharova, but Dmitrii Donskov’s squad made it clear from the first minutes that there would be no upsets on the night.
In the second quarter, the Yekaterinburg team fully took control of the game. Birthday girl Jovana Nogic ignited the attack from beyond the arc, hitting three consecutive three-pointers to push the lead to 20 points, and Tretyakova’s long-range shot closed out the first half at 50–24.
Under the guidance of Elen Shakirova, the Omsk team looked lost, and after halftime, any hope of a comeback disappeared at the Sports Palace of UMMC. Bentley once again showcased her class, Shilova kept her hot hand alive with three more triples, and Walker methodically dismantled the defense with precise mid-range attempts and attacks near the basket.
Before the final ten minutes, the scoreboard showed an uncomfortable 82–33 for the visitors, and in the closing quarter, the Foxes played with ease. Svetlana Samusheva from UMMC’s farm team got some minutes on the court and even contributed a successful shot. The final buzzer sealed the expected result — 97–43, giving UMMC their 14th win in the Championship.
