UMMC’s road game in the Moscow Region in the FONBET Russian Premier League proved to be another convincing step in their unbeaten run. The reigning champions cruised to a 97–73 victory over Sparta&K.

Quarter scores: 25–11, 35–27, 21–23, 16–12.

The opening quarter was physical and tightly contested in the early stages, with both teams trading baskets and attacking the paint. However, once the Foxes increased the tempo and ramped up defensive pressure, the game quickly shifted in their favor. Lisec and Tretyakova knocked down back-to-back three-pointers to fuel a decisive run. Dmitrii Donskov’s squad closed the first quarter with a commanding 25–11 lead.

In the second ten-minute period, the hosts tried to shake things up, with Sevara Nuritdinova hitting from beyond the arc to spark their attack. UMMC responded immediately with two quick scores of their own. A three-point battle broke out: Nogic, Maiga, and Tretyakova continued to drain from deep, stretching the lead to 20 points. Yekaterinburg was unstoppable on offense, heading into halftime with a 60–38 advantage.

After the break, the Vidnoje team came out with a different mindset - Selezeneva and Bentley traded three-pointers to add some intrigue to the game. The hosts played more physically, initiated contact, and even managed to win the quarter on the scoreboard. UMMC’s task was complicated when Papova picked up her fifth foul and headed to the bench. Still, the Foxes maintained their 20-point cushion, taking an 81–61 lead into the final quarter.

The fourth quarter saw the visitors go on a 7–0 run, ending any hopes of Sergey Danilin’s squad. The outcome was never in doubt: the reigning champions expertly controlled the pace of the game. Even a brief scoring pause by UMMC couldn’t help the hosts close the gap — Sparta&K’s long-range shots didn’t change the overall picture. Ultimately, Yekaterinburg secured a convincing 97–73 victory, taking another strong step toward the championship.

UMMC’s next game will be at home: on January 15 at the DIVS Arena, they will host NIKA-Luzales from Syktyvkar. Tip-off is scheduled for 7:00 p.m.
