UMMC’s farm team delivered a decisive statement win in Verkhnyaya Pyshma, cruising past Nevinnomyssk in another FONBET Russian Championship – Superleague matchup, 89–60.

Quarter scores: 25–18, 23–10, 21–19, 20–13.

The opening quarter set the tone right away. UMMC-Junior jumped out to a commanding 12–0 run, completely taking Nevinnomyssk out of their offensive rhythm. The visitors didn’t score for the first six minutes, until Porotnikova knocked down a three, followed shortly by another long-range shot from Tumanova to narrow the deficit to four points. However, Kuzmina’s squad quickly regained control, as Soloveva and Sudarikova responded with back-to-back threes. The home team closed the quarter with a comfortable lead — 25–18.

In the second quarter, the hosts continued to maintain firm control of the game. Polina Gusakova and Svetlana Samusheva hit threes to extend the lead, while the Foxes’ defense nearly eliminated Nevinnomyssk’s chances to find easy scoring opportunities. The margin grew with every possession, and the visitors increasingly lost battles on the perimeter. By the end of the period, the lead had ballooned to a commanding 20 points, and the teams headed into halftime with the score at 48–28.

The third quarter proved to be even more hard-fought: Nevinnomyssk came out with a different mindset and managed to challenge their opponents at times. Porotnikova and Tumanova continued to shine from beyond the arc, regularly punishing the home team with long-range shots. Yet UMMC’s farm team consistently maintained a double-digit lead and controlled the tempo of the game. Heading into the final quarter, the score favored the Yekaterinburg side at 69–47.

There was no suspense in the final quarter — the juniors’ advantage was too large. The Stavropol team managed a few more three-pointers thanks to Porotnikova and Tumanova, but it had little impact on the overall flow of the game. Korkina confidently supported UMMC-Junior’s long-range shooters, keeping the comfortable margin close to 30 points. Kuzmina’s squad calmly saw the game through to its logical conclusion — 89–60, securing a decisive victory.

UMMC-Junior: Golubeva (21 points, 8 rebounds, 9 assists), Samusheva (20 points, 6 rebounds), Gusakova (11 points, 7 rebounds, 4 assists), Odintsova (10 points, 9 rebounds).

Nevinnomyssk: Porotnikova (22 points, 3 rebounds, 4 assists), Tumanova (15 points, 2 rebounds, 2 assists).
